With over 35 years of comprehensive experience in the ICT and Data Center sectors, Mr. Garies Chong has delivered integrated solutions to a multitude of clients throughout the Asia Pacific region. As the Chief Executive Officer of EMS Group, a global ICT company and a leading provider of ICT solutions, Mr. Chong boasts profound expertise in ICT network and wireless infrastructure, smart security, innovative data center liquid cooling and energy efficiency.

In acknowledgment of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Chong has been bestowed with an Honorary Doctor of Engineering by the Global University of Science & Technology (GUST). He also holds esteemed industry credentials and professional certifications, including Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD®), Data Centre Design Consultant (DCDC®), Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM®), and Outside Plant Designer (OSP™) from Building Industry Consulting Service International, Inc (BICSI), as well as Certified Data Centre Practitioner (DCP®) and Certified Data Centre Specialist (DCS®) in Design Engineering from DCPro.

Mr. Chong is a certified trainer from BICSI Learning Academy, facilitating and conducting BICSI ICT and Data Center courses across Southeast Asia. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of BICSI Southeast Asia Leadership Committee Chair, overseeing operations in Brunei, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Thailand, Philippines, and Malaysia.
